В статье рассматривается аксиологическая специфика номинации «русский интеллигент» в русской лингвокультуре. Цель исследования состоит в выявлении языковых средств, формирующих положительный и отрицательный оценочные полюса данного образа, а также в определении причин их сосуществования. Материалом исследования послужили высказывания русских писателей и мыслителей, лексические единицы и устойчивые выражения, репрезентирующие отношение к интеллигенции. В работе применяются методы контекстуального, дефиниционно-компонентного, аксиологического и лингвокультурологического анализа. Установлено, что положительный оценочный полюс связан с образованностью, нравственной ответственностью, культурой речи, уважением к личности и служением обществу, тогда как отрицательный – со слабостью, нерешительностью, непрактичностью и оторванностью от народа. Показано, что аксиологическая парадоксальность номинации обусловлена одновременным сосуществованием противоположных оценок и исторической изменчивостью социально-культурного типа русской интеллигенции.
The article examines the axiological specificity of the nomination “Russian intellectual” in Russian linguoculture. The aim of the study is to identify the linguistic means that form the positive and negative evaluative poles of this image and to determine the reasons for their coexistence. The research material includes statements by Russian writers and thinkers, lexical units, and fixed expressions representing attitudes toward the intelligentsia. The study employs contextual, definitional-component, axiological, and linguocultural methods of analysis. The results show that the positive evaluative pole is associated with education, moral responsibility, linguistic culture, respect for the individual, and service to society, whereas the negative pole is connected with weakness, indecision, impracticality, and alienation from the people. It is concluded that the axiological paradoxicality of the nomination is determined by the coexistence of opposite evaluations and the historical variability of the sociocultural type of the Russian intelligentsia.
