На современном этапе происходит ряд процессов, влияющих на условия профессиональной деятельности переводчиков, от изменения доступного им инструментария до изменения требований к профессии и ее востребованности. При этом развитие информационных технологий ведет к фактическому вытеснению профессиональных переводчиков в ряде направлений. Все это свидетельствует о значительных изменениях в условиях профессиональной деятельности переводчиков. В статье анализируется влияние технологических и институциональных изменений на условия профессиональной деятельности переводчиков и требования к ним. Рассматривается тенденция формирования специфических профессиональных ниш, основанных на совмещении навыков перевода с дополнительными специальными компетенциями.
At the present stage, a number of processes are affecting the conditions of translators’ professional activity, ranging from changes in the tools available to them to shifts in professional requirements and demand for translation services. At the same time, the development of information technologies is leading to the actual displacement of professional translators in a number of areas. All these processes indicate significant changes in the conditions under which translators perform their professional activities. The article analyzes the impact of technological and institutional changes on translators’ working conditions and the requirements imposed on them. Particular attention is paid to the emerging trend toward the formation of specific professional niches based on the combination of translation skills with additional specialized competencies.
